Leadership

Pastor: The Rev. R. Bruce Todd came to St. Peter's on May 10, 1997. He is a 1982 graduate of the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia. Pastor Todd's undergraduate training in Music from Temple University has been a benefit in worship planning and gives sensitivity to liturgical planning. As a Philadelphia native he has a sensitivity toward city ministry as well as an appreciation for life in the suburbs. Since Lafayette Hill is one of the first suburbs of Philadelphia, we are able to blend both these styles of ministry together. Humor is a gift from God that is evident in Pastor Todd's leadership style and is seen in his preaching.

Sermons are Biblically based and strive to tie "what happened then" to what needs to happen now. Evangelism and Outreach has been one of his passions which helped lead to our missions statement which is "To share the life, love and joy of Jesus Christ with others." Some of Bruce's interests outside of the parish are Organ performances, Carillon concerts (tower bells), and travel to other countries. Vicar: Vicar Stephanie Kershner is a 2009 Master of Divinity graduate from Union Theological Seminary in New York City. She is excited to walk faithfully with Christ and the members of St. Peter's during her year long internship. Bio
